The Popular Show Season Four Reveals the Warriors Table

Ever since the premiere of the fourth campaign, recently appointed game master Brennan Mulligan has kept viewers on edge with rich lore, a colorful mix of personalities, and a gripping narrative showcasing celestial beings, fiends, and sinister influences growing in power within the city.

Warning: Spoilers for the latest installment of Campaign 4 lie ahead.

The Soldiers Table Unveiled

Episode 3 ended with a huge suspense moment and introduced the first table of heroes who will split off from the central cast to embark on their independent quest, apart from the other two tables.

The Soldiers table consists of the determined fighter (portrayed by Travis Willingham), Thimble (Laura), the strong-willed figure (Whitney Moore), Wicander Halovar (the player), and the mysterious adventurer (Robbie).

The Reason for Division

With 13 cast members, it was obvious from the beginning that keeping everyone at a single group would be impossible.

Hence, the first four episodes of this story serve as an Overture, connecting the individual narratives before splitting into three separate parties: Fighters, Planners, and Questers.

The Nature of the Soldiers Table

As described by the DM, the combat-focused party is for adventurers who are drawn to a typically action-packed combat and conflict-driven narrative style where non-violent answers are scarce.

At first glance, figures such as the reluctant priest the cleric might appear unsuited, but the actions of the latest installment demonstrate why these specific adventurers are perfectly fit for the warrior group.

Why They Must Go

For one thing, the group knows exactly where to head next after a violent first encounter with the antagonists.

An old friend of Thjazi—whose death kicked off the campaign’s events—used the foes for his own means, entering the secret base, attacking Thimble, and swiping all the magical artifacts to dispose of.

The antagonist then cleared his obligations and ran away to a Halovar stronghouse in the remote area, beyond Dol-Makjar, with Cyd pursuing him.

Character Drivers

Additionally, each member has a specific drive to exit Dol-Makjar:

  • The agile hero, as the companion and best friend, wants revenge.
  • The adventurer is familiar with the northern area and cautions that it is a nasty location.
  • The strong character and The cleric, having resisted his house’s orders to kill Teor and instead freed him, have no other options.
  • But, their reputation as prominent individuals in House Halovar could assist the group enter locations they usually can’t.
  • Furthermore, The grateful character pledged a unbreakable promise to The cleric for his rescue and will now follow him wherever.

Pursued by Authorities

Lastly, all of them are hunted by the rulers that control the setting for a multiple motives, making remaining behind no longer safe:

  • Thimble and The character are known criminals.
  • The warrior and The healer defied the powerful family and the army of fiends they are aligned with.
  • Teor is marked for death by the family.

This means them little choice but to travel to the remote area in quest for the traitor.

What’s Next?

From episode three’s Cooldown, we discover that the warrior group won’t be around in the upcoming installment, leaving the rest of the players to assemble the Explorers and Strategists groups.

Viewers can look forward to discovering which adventurers will be in which group in the story’s concluding setup installment, available to watch on the upcoming Thursday.
